OxyContin Lawsuit Information

OxyContin (generic name oxycodone) is an opioid painkiller which is twice as potent as morphine. Originally, OxyContin was prescribed to alleviate the pain associated with cancer and its treatments. Oxycodone soon became the most widely prescribed narcotic pain reliever.  It is currently sold in slightly differing formulations as Percodan, Percocet, Tylox, Roxicodone, and Toxicet.  As with other opioids, OxyContin presents a risk of addiction, overdose and even death.
